The Pro-Series events will feature a $300.00 entry fee, be limited to 50 shooters running one stage to qualify for the Top 15 Pro-Series CASH! Each of the 50 Pro-Series Competitors will be in the Running for a minimum of $11,750.00! First place winning a handsome $2,000 and 15th place winning $300.00! That’s your entry fee for 15th PLACE! (Remember this is a CMSA Pro Event so don't forget YOU MUST have both a CMSA Competition Card AND CMSA Pro Card.) Here’s how it works- All Pro’s shoot stage one with the Top 15 coming back for the finals! Each of the 15 are Guaranteed at least their entry fee back! The only question is how much more than that? Immediately following the Pro-Series preliminary round will be the Pro-Series Rifle Jackpot featuring a $100.00 entry fee, 70% payback to Top 7 and is limited to 25 CMSA Rifle shooters with Pro-Cards. All 25 entrants will run for one of the Top 7 Spots – and a shot at the Pro-Series Rifle CASH! The Pro-Series Rifle paying back as follows: 1st $490.00 2nd $402.00 3rd $315.00 4th $227.00 5th $150.00 6th $105.00 7th $70.00

What is the Pro Series of Cowboy Mounted Shooting?
The thing that makes the Pro Series of Cowboy Mounted Shooting different than any other Cowboy Mounted Shooting Event is the MONEY. The way we get the money is Sponsors. The reason the Sponsor gives the money is SPECTATORS. So we need to produce a Competition/Show that will bring Spectators. The more we can do for the Sponsor the more they can pay out. The reason for paying back 15 places is so all 15 shooters are rewarded for putting on a good show. The shows will follow the rodeo format. Riders must qualify to come back for the top 15. A Pro Series match may be one night or several and may also have a regular CMSA World Points Qualifying match.
Question and Answers for Mounted shooters
To compete, you must be a CMSA member and have a current CMSA Pro Card (You do not need a Pro Card for the regular CMSA WPQ Matches) CMSA rules apply.
The Pro Series will make Cowboy Mounted Shooters Celebrities just like rodeo cowboys. There will be possibilities of signing posters, TV and Radio interviews, etc.
The Pro Series will be part of Rodeos or Equestrian Events across the nation, as either Pre show entertainment or part of the Rodeo itself or both.
The Pro Series will target the larger rodeos like National Western Stock Show, Houston, and Cheyenne and any smaller rodeos or fairs having the capability of contributing prize money. The Pro Series will be a show in a Rodeo or Equestrian event or by itself.
The Pro Series has a National sponsorship program.
Pay back will be based on sponsor money, not out of entry fees.
CMSA will track Pro Series moneys, and then we can have Regional, National and World Champions. Pro Series will not be a point’s match; it will only be tracked by money.
The Pro Series has adapt to the fast pace of rodeo; so we need to have the balloon setters in the arena to speed up the resetting. Also we need to have the shooters mounted in the arena. The no alibi rule and the shooter accepting the stage is very important. All protest or problems need to be addressed after the shoot so as not to slow down the rodeo. There will be a penalty for slowing down the match. We will have 15 shooters for the main match.
